As Master in charge of the Magical Society I could not have wished for a better or more informative start to the year, with some truly inspirational words for the boys at the end to really get them going. I shall take up with the English Department the fact that no one there knew the poem 'Invictus'! Personally I found the magic to be startlingly effective, and I was also moved by your observation that we all stand on the shoulders of giants in what we set out to achieve. Some really thought-provoking stuff.

The venue was at capacity (just reading my notes it says it holds 210), and that surely stands as a testament to your reputation as well as the growing repute of magic in the School (especially given the 'competition' from Miss Gold of Ann Summers fame). He was such a wonderful success! I'm sure that doesn't surprise you, but for most of us (aged between 40 and 76) this was a first experience of a Conjurer (which I gather is a very oldfashioned word, but I'm sticking to it), and we were transformed into open-mouthed babes by his skill. "Noa Way," my Newcastle visitor kept saying.
